How can I handle criticism from teachers or parents without taking it personally or losing motivation?

When someone points out my mistakes, I sometimes feel that they are judging me rather than helping me improve. I want to learn how to use criticism positively.

I would try replacing the thought 'I must figure this out' with 'I will test one option and learn from it.' Ask for feedback from someone who can be honest without putting you down. Be patient with yourself while you build the habit.

I would try replacing the thought 'I must figure this out' with 'I will test one option and learn from it.' Change one part of your approach at a time so you can tell what is helping. Give yourself a few weeks to test the approach and adjust it.

You don't have to become perfect at this overnight; consistency will matter more than one good day. Avoid making major judgments about your future on your worst day. Even a small improvement repeated every day can change the situation.

This is a very understandable challenge, and it does not mean you are falling behind. Celebrate effort and learning as well as outcomes, especially when the result depends partly on circumstances. Talk to a trusted teacher, parent, mentor, or senior if you need another perspective.

Please don't judge yourself for struggling with this; recognizing the problem is already a useful first step. Keep a record of previous difficulties you eventually overcame; it is useful evidence when the current setback feels permanent. I hope you give yourself permission to start small and keep going.

It's completely okay to be uncertain while you are still learning about yourself. If something did not work, ask 'what can i learn from this?' before asking 'what is wrong with me?'. Keep notes on what works for you instead of copying someone else's routine.

I think the biggest thing is to stop expecting an instant solution and give yourself room to learn. Celebrate effort and learning as well as outcomes, especially when the result depends partly on circumstances. Keep notes on what works for you instead of copying someone else's routine.

Your question is important because the pressure often becomes bigger when we keep everything in our head. Ask for feedback from someone who can be honest without putting you down. One difficult phase is not the definition of your entire student life.

You don't have to become perfect at this overnight; consistency will matter more than one good day. Give yourself a short recovery period and then choose one concrete action that moves you forward. You do not need a perfect plan; you need a plan you can actually follow.

Please don't judge yourself for struggling with this; recognizing the problem is already a useful first step. Give yourself another attempt with a better process rather than simply repeating the same process harder. Even a small improvement repeated every day can change the situation.

Don't compare your chapter with someone else's finished-looking story. Avoid making major judgments about your future on your worst day. Your current difficulty does not decide what you are capable of later.

Sometimes progress starts with making the next decision clearer, not with having every answer. Change one part of your approach at a time so you can tell what is helping. I hope you give yourself permission to start small and keep going.

A small change in your routine can make this feel much more manageable. Change one part of your approach at a time so you can tell what is helping. Talk to a trusted teacher, parent, mentor, or senior if you need another perspective.

One practical approach is to focus on what you can control this week rather than solving your whole future today. Avoid making major judgments about your future on your worst day. I hope you give yourself permission to start small and keep going.

Sometimes progress starts with making the next decision clearer, not with having every answer. Write down what was actually in your control, what was not, and what you can change for the next attempt. I hope you give yourself permission to start small and keep going.

I've faced a smaller version of this myself, and one thing that helped was taking the problem one step at a time. Give yourself a short recovery period and then choose one concrete action that moves you forward. I hope you give yourself permission to start small and keep going.

You're not alone in this—many students go through a similar phase. Look at setbacks as information about your method rather than a final verdict on your ability. Focus on progress you can measure, not on being ahead of everyone else.
